I agree... the tactics are quite underhanded - I recall seeing something similar up in the highlands and thinking sheeeit! You should see the road coming south out of Aberdeen... they used to hide the cameras behind roadsigns!

Okay,
Sent the details off of the driver of the vehicle, what a fiasco that was, it included the Scottish police contacting and threatening me 9:30 on Saturday morning. Now I just bide my time.
An interesting point came from one of the speed freaks at work (last caught doing 130MPH in his Porker). He reckons the law is different up in Scotland and they have no legal right to revoke/modify your license, is this true?

[QUOTE=Neil.H,Aug 7 2004, 12:16 PM] What's the speed limit on there, 70? If so you may get away with fine & points as it's below the magic ton.
In '96 I got caught doing 98mph on the M6 and received 3 points and

<snip> Also I am in the process of studying/training for my advanced driving test so, I don't really want a ban at this point. <snip>
What do others think? Is this IAM?

There's also a number of warnings about speed camera's, I took these to be lie's as I saw nothing on the way up. Most people were travelling 85-90mph when we passed the van. A good way of funding urban development I guess.

Trick is not to stand out! I got "checked" by a laser on the A3M coming back from Goodwood FOS doing 85 mph in middle lane being overtaken by a van got no NIP.
Just go one of the guys at work off his 55 in a 40 as the NIP was 30 days after the 14 day period. In England they have to serve it on U within 14 days of the offence, the recorded delivery is their evidence of serving it. Not sure it is the same in Scotland but worth checking!
