But tyres are all about racing. If they wear prematurely the driver will have to become defensive and the driver behind should get a good run out of a corner and overtake before the next bend. That is racing.

A propos my post about the exciting German Moto GP, I couldn't help but chuckle as Ryder, Allen, Blundell and the gang preached to us about how enthralling F1 is. "These cars are all so closely matched", proclaimed Allen, who then proceeded, only laps later, to tell us how Barichello was lapping in 1.22 to Schumacher's 1.17 ...
I think the powers that be (and the TV companies) know that F1 has lost its competiveness, unpredictability and therefore excitement. Compare it to Moto GP's seat of the pants entertainment and you see how comparatively dull it's become.
Giving all the drivers the same car will never happen since part of the F1 spectacle is the battle between contructors, but until they do something to equalise the cars' performance, the results of each race are pretty well determined (barring prangs) during the Saturday qualifying.
I am currently watching the golf from Loch Lomond ...

Ah the fortnightly "Moto GP is great, F1 is crap" post.
I stopped watching after ~ 20 laps.

Moto GP was fantastic, thanks to Dan for the heads up. On the other hand I fell asleep on lap 30 of F1 only to wake because of the noise from the ITV ad-break at 10 laps left.

If you like the F1 and don't like people saying it was dull, why not say what was good about it?
As has been said - Moto GP very exciting, on the last bend on the last lap of the race there were 4 riders all together and anyone of them could have clinched it
What was exciting in F1?
Rahul, you're welcome mate

Does this mean we all have to sell our S2000's and buy Honda bikes to maintain any cred?
