Default F***ing rear calipers

Just spent 90 minutes at lunch trying to replace my rear brake pads. Can get one bolt off to remove the caliper, but not the other. F***!

Top tip, dont allow an hour or two for brakes, they can often catch you out!

Nice weekend or evening job so there's no panic if something goes wrong.

Can't do evening, live on a hill, no drive, and it's dark. I need them for Saturday.

I don't think I would have got that bolt, no matter how long I had.

Aha - I'm in the middle of the same job.
Got the bolt with the aid of a ring spanner 12mm and an open ended spanner 19mm.

Problem I have is how to compress the piston back in. Trying to use a G Clamp - (fine on fronts), but the rear will not budge in. Handbrake is off (lever down in car).
Do I have to do something with the handbrake stuff at the back of the caliper?
All comments welcome - preferably constructive ones!

Cheers.

The rear caliper pistons have to screwed in - hence the cross pattern

Mark - get some plusgas or similar on that bolt and allow to penetrate for an hour or two.

get a metal bar or some sort to fit into the slot, and turn it back in, clockwise.

Anyone got pics of the bolts I should be removing? Just to make sure I'm trying to get at the right ones.

The thing is, these bolts were removed last week by the dealer.
