Extended Warranty - Verdict?
My S2K is coming up to 3 years old and the warranty runs out. What are everybody's thoughts on purchasing an extended warranty? Is it worth the

You can get it for less if you ask nicely. There is some room for a deal.
also if you are an AA member and you take out their insurance then they will throw ina years warrenty for free!. mate at work has an S and they gave him a good quote for ins. the warranty was a bonus. His is a 4 year old model.

I am still under manufacturers warranty, never kept a car longer than 9 months. But I am interested in how you negotiate the price of an extended Honda warranty? Is this something you can take up with your local dealer, or a postal offering with Honda UK?

I'm in a real dilemma, I generally buy cars with about a years warranty on them and get everything sorted , that way I save money when I'm buying the car, get everything fixed and it's good for another couple of years til I replace it.
Very succesful strategy for me so far, until I bought this thing.
It's had so much warranty work done it's like Triggers broom from only fools and horses (I've ad the same broom for 10 years, t's as 9 new heads and 4 new handles)
My warranty is up at the end of the year, and this is the first car I have been scared to run without a warranty (and I used to run JAGS FFS)
do I change it or get more extended warranty hmmmm.......
the car has had 2 gearboxes 2 clutches 2 sets of roof seals roof stalks clips new alloys and I'm waiting for yet another clutch replacement new AC condensor and more Roof seals and stalks.
I've had the car 6 months.
Terrifying.

you mustn't be looking after her Do you whisper longingly in her induction pipe, caress her gently with your feather (non-scratch) duster, tickle her with a coating of Zymol (ooohhh that gorgeous smell), spend hours just talking to her while she rests in the garage? If not, that's your problem!
Seriously, with all those things replaced, you must have been unlucky or a previous owner beat it up

Seems to me that the owners who are having the most reliabilty problems are s2kjocks. Just coincidence, or the fact that they drive their cars through blizzards, fords, sheep etc etc on a weekly basis ?
