If you have the Hondacare extended warranty this should cover both labour and parts - check your terms and conditions and try another dealer!

Thats what i thought to

What has confused me is the dealer is saying it will have to charge me to find the fault and if it is a warranty claim it wont cover the inital labour to find the afor mentioned fault

Don't let em fob you off.

I might phone up Trident tomorrow and get their version.....they seem to be quite honest.

That's right MrV

If they spend 4 hours taking the car apart only to find that the component isn't covered by the warranty you will have to pay for their time. If the part is covered they will pay for the lot.

I had this on my 200SX when the manifold cracked. i struck up a deal with the garage that if the part wasn't covered by the warranty they would only charge me a pre agreed amount of labour to fix it. Mind you I did buy the car from them.

Just be glad you didn't buy a Ford.

Their Warranty Department (Warranty International Holdings Ltd) has recently gone tits due to "financial irregularities," meaning all those extended warranties are no more!

Also, you would have a POS instead of a lovely S2K, so you're blessed twice!
