Exhausts
From using the search function I know a couple of you on this board have either the supersprint or HKS exhausts.
What I was hoping to get is a comparison of the two, from those of you who have been to meets when cars with both have been present.
I have never heard these exhausts in person but have many mpgs of the HKS.
What I would like to know is,
What are these like exhaust to live with? motorway driving? drone?
How loud is the supersprint compared to the HKS?
Where did you get them from?
I'm sorry if youve been over this before but I cant find a definate answer.
P.S if any suppersprit or HKS owners live near me I would love to come and meet you to hear them in person
Many, Many Thanks in Advance
Steve

Hang in Steve someone will pipe up no doubt. I've heard PWE 896's short HKS and I like it a lot. That one has the advantage of retaining the cat and being emissions legal.
Thinking about an exhaust myself and haven't heard any of the others yet. You make a good point about living with the noise, on long trips some of them can be wearing. A lot of noise doesn't always equal more performance. Someone ought to tell the kid across the road with his riced up Escort
You can keep the intake 'honk' for me if it isn't accompanied by good power gains. Good weight savings to be made though, I think the stock exhaust is about 60lbs

Steve,
Admittedly I'm biased, but I love the sound of my HKS Hyper. With the top down it sounds absolutely fantastic and just adds to the grin factor. With the top up or hardtop on, it's very slightly boomy at around 3,000 rpm.... but it doesn't bother me (and, anyway, I don't often travel at 3,000 rpm )
Cost, I don't know; I bought mine s/h off Maca (a board member who is a serial upgrader )
I'll be at the airfield day at Upper Heyford on 31st October if you can get there.

Nothing. The dealer did it when the warranty clutch replacement was done and, as they had to drop the exhaust anyway, and I brought the HKS from Maca's already assembled, it didn't cost me anything

Steve I don't have a supersprint exhaust but I can tell you that the RS*R system is very impressive its only available in japan though, its a 4" single exit so it saves loads of weight and less restrictive than twin cans
