Default Exhausts...

Evening all

I'm looking to replace my Invidia n1 in the not too distant future.

As much as I love the sound it makes on tec and the way it looks, the drones just got a tad bit annoying now

So, can anyone point me in the direction of a decent dual exhaust that doesn't drone like an 18" subwoofer on full chat, as I am looking to track the car some point soon aswell.

I'm not looking to pay hideous amount of money, not power hungry either, just something with a nice tone that won't leave me deaf by the end of 2013!

Cheers

Do you not have the bungs for the n1, I popped mine in the other week for the first time in 4 years as i had a posh wedding to attend and it pretty much eliminated the drone effect

It sounded really nice as I've never heard my k&n induction noise as the exhaust always drowned it out. Only lasted the weekend though as it sounded too quiet for me!!

On this point does anyone have any feedback on the new Milltek system in terms of volume and tone?

By the milltek website it appears they are only doing exhausts from MY05 onwards

The exhaust would fit any year s2k.

However, with the milltek at £800+ it's an expensive system! I'd rather be spending that sort of cash on a well proven s2000 exhaust from Japan/US.

Apparently the invidious Q300 and the tanabe medallion have no drone, are sub £800, and well respected systems within the s2000 community.

How about getting something made up by JDModified.

This sounds pretty good!

Thanks for the input all

To be honest, I'm not that keen on Miltek, back when I was in the astra scene a few years back they had issues with welding quality, friend went through 3 in a year due to welds cracking so it's put me off.

Jimmy, mine didn't as I bought it 2nd hand mate, do they really make that much of a difference? Ebay seems to be the only source at the moment, but not too sure on the fitment of them also do you reckon it'll tone it down enough to be track friendly?

I like the sound of that. Not sure if its a little too loud. Hard to tell on a video without hearing it in the flesh
