Default Exhausting exhausts

Ok as I'm going do the FI route can some of you lot help me with exhuasts.

1. Do i really need to upgrade to get the best out of FI?

2. Which single mod out of Manifold/Test pipe/Cat back would give the most benifit?

3. If i do one exhaust mod should i really do them all?

4. I don't want it to be to noisey esp below 5k rpm what do you suggest?

I have come up with the following results after doing a search

Invidia - Cheap, loud, rattles
Amuse - Expensive, loud looks sexy
HKS - Cheapish, very loud
Mugen - Expensive , not too loud, nice name
Tanabe - cheap, loundness unknown?
Superspint - ????

Is there any others i have missed?

If i get a manifold it will be Rick's and a Berk test pipe...

HKS isn't that loud, just has an annoying drone 2.5-3.5k RPM but I would go Mugen or J's racing.

I like the standard exhuast, will there be any downside of keeping it with a cat replacement on it?

Can't see why but DBM will confirm/deny that, only downside would be the weight but if you're not that fussed about weight then don't replace

I did the same search myself for the exhaust;

My initial choice was Mugen, than I was told a bit restrictive, than gone for Amuse Dual Full Euro Ti, its expensive, but my main concern is the quality of Titanium they used to manufacture the exhaust, J'racing Ti 70RR...than RS ...eh..dont like the dolphin shape, in the end.......custom made cheaper than Amuse, lighter than stock, dual oval shape but bigger with fantastic sound!!!!Be ready by the end of July.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the T1-R 70RT - a very light 70mm single pipe exhaust

Now that 'sounds' interesting. Have already de-catted and removed air box but very aware exhaust system is huge and heavy & the big oval tips are a con as they cover up pea shooters.
My '06 has an odd dead end section at 90 degrees which I'm told is a balancer?

More info. please and of course your views when installation complete.
