Exhaust Paint
As part of my duotone approach to my S, I'm considering painting the tail pipes and silencer section of my Mugen exhaust system black.
Would anyone care to recommend a very good, durable high temperature coating to paint the titanium/stainless section of the exhaust with?

If it's just the rear silencers that you want black, it might be worth getting them powder coated so that you get a nice even finish.

A VHT type paint, i painted my old backboxes on the standard exhaust black (which lasted, but i dont have the exhaust anymore).
However i made sure i rubbed them down and cleaned/degreased etc.
However i remember the finish being so-so as its quite thick and it didnt leave a factory finish.
By tailipipes you mean stainless steel bits???

I'm planning on replacing the current silver radio door with a black one - black badges are on their way from HTG (assuming they have been shipped...) and of course there's the satin black RE30s to fit when they arrive.
Orange brake caliper paint is on the wish-list also... which may also find its way on to the steering wheel 'H' if I'm able to remove it easily.

BBQ paint worked well on my motorbike downpipes and should work on the S tailpipes too.
If you want to swap your silver door for my black one...give me a shout.
I look forward to seeing your S when you've finished...it should look pretty damn smart.

I want the car orange and black as far as is possible. The shiny exhaust (and unfortunately the gear knob) will compromise the overall look I'm going for.
Would suggest a satin or matt black finish for the exhaust if you really must paint it though.
When do the wheels arrive?
