What size pipe did you use?

I plan on doing this mod but will be running a decat as well.

They used almost the same size pipe as the exhaust. It's certainly loud now but only when you gun it!

Does anyone know of a place near Milton Keynes that can do this? I gave it a go but my fabrication skills are as good as a penguin.

I recently had this exhaust mod done by Jim Davey (Daveyboy2 on here) of RH Davey Welding - excellent job, and he's happy to take on more.

Had this done today. Already had the decat now got the mod with about 44mm pipes. I love it! Little pops and crackles every now and then, but the car is still waiting to be mapped.

been running mine (32mm) for a while and still love it. sounds tame when you want it ('er indoors on board) and nice sound when you want it. Reminds me of a BMW 325i I used to have back in the day (80's!)

Hi All,

I have just read the whole post and this mod looks great. Does anyone know about one good garage in Warickshire to do this mod?

Thank you very much in advance.

I know I struggled to find someone to do this in the South/West London area when I was looking back in 2012.

I can now personally recommend someone in Croydon who will take this on. Top guy, really friendly, old skool way of working (engineering background), normally focuses on hot rods and custom exhausts. The photos on Page 2 of this thread are enough for him (or anyone) to work from.
His workshop is located at CR0 2DA, Croydon and goes by the name of Tino's Rod & Kustom.
You can PM me for his mobile number (as he doesn't have a landline or a website running... yet - although is mentioned on other forums) .
