I had mine done by a friend based near Ipswich in Suffolk. He is setting up on his own and has a garage and poster ramp etc set up by his house.

He did a very good job on both of my S2000's.

If anyone is interested let me know.

How long did it take him? Can't be much more than an hours work surely once you know where to cut the holes etc?

Whilst these cars are Jap, they are still cars and things often don't work out as they should.

First time round was about 3 hours, second time about 2 hours.
I'd imagine now to be circa 1.5 but i don't really think pricing this job based on time is worth it for the welders/mechanics involved. Its a specialist job after all.

Agree. I'd say the guy who did mine probably took about 3 hours or so, which in hourly rates I think is fair.

Yep ^ theres a bit of cutting and chopping trial and error to get the pipes to fit/line up well before you weld them. It took about 3 hours for mine as well all in.

I'm doing mine today finally. I have 2 pieces of stainless steel pipe which is 28mm as I dont want it to be annoying for me and I can always fit a bigger pipe later in if I want to

I ordered 28mm 250mm length of stainless pipe, cost me £4.50.

Got the exhaust of fairly easily as the cat nuts undid. Marked up and drilled the holes. Welded the new pipe over and re-fitted.

It is such a subtle mod you barely notice it but worth doing just for that little bit of extra noise when the roof is down
