I've wondered whether it would give a little more character by having different diameters either side

If anyone is contemplating getting bigger bores then it might be worth a go. Could end up a little bit Impreza like
Being running like that for 3 months no one's noticed so can't make a difference
And I ran different lengths of exhaust pipe after bumping a tree for a few months - no difference!

Nice one

He's a good guy, very diligent, plenty of tea and he has had practise on mine!

This is awesome! Never heard/seen anyone do this before. Pretty cool idea!

I wanna try this, but I'm just afraid it'll sound like a civic with a fart-can. That wouldn't let me sleep at night haha.

I gotta give this a try though. Those videos sounds great.

Well the exhaust was dropped off on Sunday afternoon. I spent some time cleaning up the pipe work and those rear cans. I then put a couple of coats of matt black exhaust paint over the pipe work to smarten it up and protect those new welds. I was able to do a quick run once getting the exhaust back on the car. It's clear there is a bit more noise lower down the rev range before you hit vtec. After that point my K&N kicks in

I did notice a rather nasty smell when I pulled up at some lights and when I finished my run. I'm guessing that is just the system burning off any rubbish in the exhaust or the paint curing.

I opted for 35mm pipe with an internal diameter of 32mm. I got this from eBay seller brilliant2buy (ALUMINIUM 2 BUY) for about £9.

I will give the car another blast on Wednesday and report back then. I only drove the car with the roof down, so no idea if there is anymore noise with the roof up.

Anyone know of somewhere in Lincolnshire to get this done? Asked a few places where I live and they said they're not happy to do it

So my local fabricator has let me down on the Exhaust Mod front. Where else in the North West has done this previously? Preferably in the South Manchester area.
