With my Helmholtz resonator and mid-box removed, it's louder than others that I have heard Dan!

Dan,

this mod is to make the standard exhaust sound like it should have done from factory.

You get a nice subtle note without sounding boy racer. I have heard this mod combined with a decat and it was LOUD. Maybe try that?

If you want it even louder then you have to start looking at aftermarket exhaust options.

Yea I can appreciate that : )

I thought it would be a bit louder, that was all! I'd rather have it completely stock, or go aftermarket, hence the for sale thread : )

dan_bourne I feel your pain. I went for small diameter (28mm internal) and there is a difference but not a lot. I wanted more so I am not going through the awful task of cutting out the 28mm to put in 40mm. Ballache.

Dan, let the new pipe get a layer of coke on it. The noise changes. Would meet up with you so you could hear mine but no tax. I have a decat as well. I would say don't be too hasty.

Had this done today, cost me 63 quid for parts and labour including removal and refit of the exhaust. 38mm pipe yet to be heard by myself!

Just drove her home and I love it! Interested to see if it changes at all after a period of driving!
