Yep I'm in Guildford so it was about 45 mins to Basingstoke. I did feel a bit weird about getting it done having only ever heard clips on YouTube & never in real life. Especially when everyone said how its not quite like that in person. Over all its pretty subtle, but I'm glad I did it.

Now I've got a 32mm tube of stainless to spare.

PS - perhaps they've increased the quote price as mine took till after lunch :/

So where is the best place in the North West to get the exhaust mod done? Have pm'd Ray but haven't had an answer.

He's been busy vinyl wrapping his car. He would still be the one to go for though for the mod.

Has anyone been to a track day with this mod? Any ideas if it'll pass the more stringent tests?

I really wouldn't worry about that. If an invidia q300 will pass scutineering, the exhaust mod will. It really isn't that much louder than stock at all, it's the tone it changes more than anything! Ive had mine done pretty much since this thread began a week or so after Ray and Ang posted their mod "design", and overall volume could never be an issue. I went with 28mm id by the way.

My 29mm mod passed a 100db test. By how much I don't know, but probably a lot!
