Just to add to the general information, a small garage in Poole that I know did the mod for me. http://www.car-servicing-poole.co.uk/index.html . They usually deal in French stuff, but I've been taking cars of various types to them for ages, and they are pretty good. Made a good job of my exhaust for £80, anyway.

It's potentially a lot of work so for someone to commit to a price has got to be worth it. I've spent longer than 2 hours trying to undo exhaust flange blots in the past. And its a pain in the ass to actually do because of all the angles and stuff.
