Sean, I don't know anyone else that has done 44mm. Most have gone for 28, 32, or a few 38mm. All internal dia. Think the consensus was that more than 32mm and it starts to sound like a chavved up corsa

Ultrasound it sounds a bit raspy with the resonator removed..I can't really tell since real life sounds way different than video.

Yes it is very difficult to record how it actually sounds and its down to taste/preference on whether you will like the sound once it's done, but if you like the VTEC-esque sound then its worth a try at least, not too difficult to put the resonator back in.

Sounds like a cool idea, I've always been a fan of electric diverters, I've installed them in a few cars over the years... kinda nice being able to dial in you exhaust anywhere from stock to open headers with a push of a button. Check these out:

Ok here's my latest plan, arrived today from GTS Chris.com (nice people btw)
a Berk Technology 63.5mm high flow cat'
Name: 29f6cb545c6b881973375aa45c772e84.jpg
Views: 29
Size: 646.6 KB

My OEM cat' had started to rattle so thought I'd give this a go and see how raspy it sounds vs the decat - watch this space!
Will try and record the sound too for reference.

Note: it also looked good as I've told the gf that its a saving of £1250 when compared to the Honda one, he he he, got to love man-logic

Nice one! Look forward to the result, please keep us informed I've spoken to a few people who said it didn't make much difference in terms of nosie, a little more rasp.

When are you fitting it?

So do you have the 32mm mod and a decat? Or just the 32mm mod?

Interesting it says "Off road race part". Hope it will pass a MOT.

I have the 32mm mod & tried a decat previously but hated the tin-can bugle effect!

Tomorrow morn

Yes I've heard they can just about pass (as long as it's a Thursday & with the wind blowing in the right direction)
