For anyone in the Warwickshire area looking to get this done I can recommend Andy at ACH Fabrications Ltd.

He did the work on mine and did a fantastic job for £80. Plus he has a car lift in his workshop so no worries about getting the exhaust off.

Give him a call on 01926 496007 or 07718 096853.

I've been loving my 30mm exhaust mod for quite a few months so decided to get a Decat fitted.

Unfortunately with the test-pipe it's now gone way too noisy/raspy, startup & around the 3k mark.

I have to change up before 3k otherwise it sounds bugle(y) like a boy racer in a Nova (see told you I was old) with a baked bean can exhaust.

Going back to my CAT as soon as poss' so I can play my PRM intake again
IMO the mod+PRM intake was just perfect, I could make it loud on command but still drive stealthily when I wanted to.

Oh well you have to try these things out eh? Just thought I'd share my experience in case anyone's thinking of doing similar.

Note: Obviously you may like this type of noise which is cool, I can understand that, it's just not for me anymore!
Update
A few days on and I have another observation: Above 7K it sounds EPIC, almost an F1 like wail or scream; when I joined the start of the motorway tonight there's a small divider wall that reflected the sound back at me. It was pretty amazing TBH.

Still can't live with the 3k raspy 'parp' though around town, so I guess that there's always compromises when it comes to exhausts?
Might look at getting a high flow cat' instead of the test-pipe...

Finally found someone reliable who comes highly recommended in the south east to do this who will charge £110.

Currnely he only has 28mm and 38mm pipe in the workshop. What is the general consensous on the size of the pipe? I had wanted 32mm as it seemed the most common so may pick some pipe up myself.

btw, if you live in the south east and want this done drop Kevin a line here http://www.zeroexhausts.co.uk/contact.htm

Nothing like a hand-me-down Wayne!

The weird thing is though that from 7k on it sounds bloody amazing, like the howl of a banshee (whatever that means?). Looks like MSC is actually right about something!

We need a reliable way of recording exhaust noise don't we though, it's so difficult to explain sound as it's very subjective.
