Mine quite droney, and both s2k nut's and Ang's sounded great last night. Besides, it's an excuse to mess around with it some more

if you do it this way you can use full pipe diameter 65MM and change the sound by changing baffles

Toying with replacing the cobra **** on mine and reverting to OE. Will 04+ exhausts fit onto a pre facelift (03) ?
I think I will be going for 32mm from the noise S2k Nut's made. It sounds like a big engine Beemer.

Well I've just got back from Congleton after a very successful visit to see Ang and Ray at Daytona Autos. Chuffed to bits with the 'new' exhaust!
Ray fitted a 32mm pipe to mine and it sounds absolutely fantastic. I've driven most of the way back with the windows down, need to get the hard top off asap! From inside the car with the windows up it sounds 'subtle', with the windows down it sounds manic. Ray did a top job too, it looks almost OEM and you can't see it at all unless the car's up on the ramp and someone points it out. Ray even greased up the clutch ball joint 'while he was there' which I didn't even realise was a common issue.
Chilling at home now waiting to see if I go blind from watching Ray doing the welding , I'm sure I'll be fine.
And thanks for the tea Ang!

That looks intriguing oxhouser, makes me wonder if it would be possible to obtain a butterfly valve compact enough to fit there & be controlled from inside the car?

Ray's looked at using the BMW valve's, and the flange system with different size's,but the cost goes up and it moves away from being a quick cheap mod, just waiting to get a spare system to have a play with,
