Just had my first drive out with the roof down, and this is by far the best mod I've had on a car! All for a cost of a pipe! ( Well the vRS remap actually wins the best mod, but still! ).

Only problem now is my Pug 306 brakes better than the S2k, so it's time to either do all the brakes and fluid, or try the fluid first to see if that's the issue.

Just read through this entire thread, sounds like such an awesome mod for little money, and huge credit to F3 ANG & Ray for the help they've been providing!

F3 ANG I did send you a mail, wasn't sure if it went through though?

s2k_nut went for the 30mm and I went for 28mm. I managed to record s2k_nut's exhaust but in the excitement, I forgot to record mine...oh well, maybe another time.

to Ray for doing a great job and to Ang for organising everything. Great to meet you Moebiusuk, I have to say it's quite a change to the sound of the car exactly where it needs it, ie up to 6000 RPM. Once I get into VTEC then I hear the noise of the CAI and it sounds fantastic, it's apparent from the video (at least to me) how much 'deeper' the exhaust note is, and you would swear that was an aftermarket exhaust just by the increased tone and volume. So far, very impressed, lets see if I can live with enjoy it for some time now

Once again many thanks Ray and Ang. (and Joe )

Been following this thread with interest and after a lot of phone calls and being on the verge of opting for a 200 + mile trip to visit Ang and Ray have found a local firm willing to do this mod for £100 + the dreaded vat .

Have booked it in for Monday .

Details to follow when it,s been done if any body in the S.E. is interested .

Regards John .

After a few weeks with it I am still over the moon, I think mines 30mm (Ang, not sure if you can remember?). Its got the perfect amount of noise, not too much and not too little. No drone at all! Perfect!

Where are you getting it done and is the cost just for welding the pipe or supply and weld of the pipe?
