I just read their quote in detail. Here it is:

The fabrication time is approx 3 hours @£50 +vat per hour (this includes materials)

Removal and refitting to the vehicle if required 1 hour @£50phr +vat.

Total = £200+ vat if fabrication time is less you will be charged less

New exhaust gaskets and rubbers would possiabley require replacing aswell which would be an additional parts cost only.

4hours work! - Maybe if its Dave the one armed blind apprentice -FFS, at least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask.

That other video that was posted (removed mid box n gutted air box) is my car. I think it's having a very similar effect as this 28mm bypass mod, which I'm now thinking of doing to mine aswel, just to add a little more noise

Presumably I wud be the first to have both mods done so I'll post up a video if/when I get it done- unless anyone else does have that setup?

Ok I've had it done! The sound with all my mods together is louder than expected, but a nice sound IMO and I like it!

Thats with a 30mm pipe, but the hole was slightly smaller as I originally wanted 28mm..

The total mods regarding noise are therefore, mid box removed, airbox gutted and resonator blocked, the mod from this thread.

Sounds pretty loud, any way you an get a video up of just normal driving between 2-5K RPM?

I have a very similar set-up but am going to run 25mm pipe (1 inch) with no mid box and no cat. If I dont like the results I am going to cut the rear mufflers off before the split, weld a smooth 2 1/4" (57mm) that splits into two 2 1/4" (57mm) tubes, and then run those exhaust tubes to dual mid box resonators that will replace the original mufflers since the resonators only weight about 5lbs that should free up about 40 lbs., this will probably be my track exhaust since it will probably be to loud to daily drive.

Wow I need this sound in my life!

A local S2k specialist think it would take them all day to do :-(

Anyone in Southeast who can do this?

Also I noticed when I removed the mid box it sounds much different during cold start up compared to when the exhaust system is warmed up, not sure why this would affect the sound but it does.

Ultrasound are you running a cat?

At normal speeds its not that loud, but you can tell its modified, I tried videoing it but you can just hear the ambient noise. At idle it sounds standard I would say, maybe a little more growl. I still have the cat in mine yeh, I imagine without the cat it would be even louder! Everything sounds better warmed up, more burble and popping.

I got mine done at valleyside autos in keighly, took around 2hrs (just for today's mod)

Ok got mine done at Rays today using 30mm i/d

Thanks for your work today mate, (sorry about the biscuits )had a great trip home via Mcr airport tunnels, sounded fantastic. I tried to record the sound on my phone and went well until I hit the limiter in 2nd, what a muppet!

Motorway at 66 to 75mph could hardly notice the difference, certainly no droning.
It makes a huge difference when getting on the loud pedal though, with a really nice tone (like Jimmy Hendrix trying to play whilst being attacked by massive wasps)

Nice to meet MSC (terrible with names, John?) and bumped into Rhauri there too...super chaps

Thanks again to Ray & Ange, you're a real credit to the forum.
