As per title. Would like to keep the exhaust shiney and newish looking. Alot of specs of crap bond themselves with the exhaust tips with the heat. Hot soapy water and a sponge hasnt' been quite enough to remove these, so just wondering what else to use that won't scratch it. Would the scoury bit of a washing up sponge be ok? Any products good for removing the baked on crap?

Autosol metal polish and a Dremell with polishing disc are your friend

Avoid over polishing flamed blue tips as the polish will take the exhaust back to its stainless finish

I do have a dremel with a myriad of different tips. But in all honesty, I wouldn't recognise which one is for polishing if it hit me in the face. What does it look like?

I don't have removable tips (greddy SE exhaust), so I would need one almighty dishwasher for that option.

The autosol works very well with a normal cloth, but if you must use a powertool...

I've never used a power tool, it just takes longer to polish the tips up by hand.

So the autosol is a bit abrasive (to remove stuck on grime)? Should I just be very gentle on the burnt tips and etched on writing? I didn't realize the effect could be polished off.

Use Autosol with some metal woolen stuff. Ive got loads in my garage I boguht from the Autogylm guy you find on industrial estates.
It makes your exhsut look brand new!
