I think its a "high-flow cat" that's fitted as OEM anyway so removing it may not give you much of a difference in sound but possible hassle come MOT time.

Either which way, I am replacing mine with a test pipe soon - green be dammed. I hope to get a little more noise because my neighbors have some really loud exhausts that sound like fart cans and it is time i did something about that. I'll work my way up

Doesn't sound overly different but the car was quite loud with the FIPK anyway. By removing the centre box it's merely raised the sound somewhat but not by too much.
Also when letting off after giving it the beans, tends to make a rasping sound which, to be honest, not sure if I'm fond of yet. I'm sure it'll grow on me though
