Default Evo VIII MR to a s2000

Thinking of a s2000 for the summer. Will I be disappointed in the performance compared to a 400bhp Evo?

I'd say it hugely depends on you - If you are an EVO driver who relies on the car to do the work in the bends - point and squirt and likes the bags of torque so you can just slam your foot down without really using your gears then YES!

The S2000 is a Driver

Give the guy the benefit for the doubt for the moment, Richard! I'm sure not all Evo drivers are trouble-makers from Lancer Register trying to stir things up....

This thread is screaming out for MB, although I think he's online a bit less than usual at the moment as a result of work commitments. I'm sure he'll post when he sees it.

That depends. I had a 400 BHP VIII MR, if you're on the MLR you may know it, I sold it to one of the moderators. Personally I thought it was dull that's why I have another S2000.....

My bro has a wrx ppp and I have an s2000, they are so different that there isn't really much point in comparing them.

The evo is much faster so yes you will probably initially be disapointed.

That said with a supercharger bolted on you could have an s2000's would eat your evo for breakfast.

EVO VIII MR FQ340 250bhp/tonne 0-60 in 4.4
S2000 191 bhp/tonne 0-60 in 6.2

Whether you'll be disappointed is up to you.

You will like the convertible in the summer but if you want both, you probably want an M3 convertible.
