I sold mine 3 weeks ago, I have been toying with the idea of getting a more practical car for a few months but I kept delaying it because I love the S!! However when looking at prices of used S2000s it was the right time to sell, plus the weather hasnt really been great! Maybe back in the hot seat of a S2000 in the near future

Itchy, I think you will like the Clio!

Not heard of many people who don't, and in a lot of situations it could be faster than the S. They are also capable of silly MPG's!

dont forget that you can get more shopping in them.

also they outperform the exige S [in certain conditions].

Had my S for sale for about 2 months and not a single phone call or enquiry...good condition 2003 on 57k, FHSH, nurby blue/Black leather, S2K Plate, reasonable sale price...11.5k! Just couldn't shift it!

Eventually traded it in for a 2006 RX8 231ps, 18k, FMSH plus some of my hard earned!

Has the arse fallen out of private sales?

On that note i do have some bits and bobs that i never gave to the dealer...any ideas on how much i should look for...got a tonneau cover, private plate S200D NB, OEM Air Filter, and a Pioneer DEH-P77MP?

The RX8 has none of the thrills but needed a more practical car, have had 2 seaters for 3 years now and it as time to move on!

I wonder how many ARE actually in the shit, or if they're following the meeja pressure to 'economise'?

Then again, coming off fixed rate mortgage deals can be difficult for some.

Was also thinking about all the nay-sayers that said not to go VR mortgage this year. I got a very good rate before they all got pulled, and last week we saw serious talks of yet another IR cut.
Living within the means, means just that. /smug

What I dont figure is the very common comment along the lines of
"Im selling because I only did 5000 miles last year and its just not worth it".

Did you actually buy it thinking you would go to the moon and back then?

I wish I could afford to only do a few miles a year in mine and have a second daily driver.

Wouldn't be a reason for me to part with it unless of course I was in financial strife !!

I had the same thinking as Barryrob had the S2000 for over 3 years, bumped into a mate got talking and he said he was in the market for a S2000 so within a week I got a Audi S3 and the S2k was no more all in 1 day!!
