Thumbs up Is Everyone Selling Up ?

I've just looked in the 'For Sale and Wanted' Forum and on the first page alone there are 10 Honda S2000's for sale. Until recently I've never seen anywhere near that many for sale at any one time !!

I've thought about selling in the past but then when I think about it most of the boxes for me are ticked and its relatively cheap motoring compared some other marques with similar qualities.

I realise you can now get similar standard performance from some of the new hot hatches but they don't have the stlye or flare of the S2000.

I know the car has its flaws and they are posted regularly on here but they don't outweigh the smile thats brought to the owner when hoofing it in Vtec with your hair on fire

So what is it ?? Is it the credit crunch ?? Or has everyone just had enough ?? Is the competition becoming too much for the 10 year old ??

Your thoughts please !!

Andy

I was thinking about selling mine last week just because I wanted a change. Having looked around I decided to keep mine for another year or two.

In the relatively short time I've been on here I've seen a few people who have sold up only to return a few months later in another 'S'.

So that does beg the question is the grass any greener ??

I've waivered a few times over the past year - but it was to upgrade to a newer one. Yet again though I 'think' I've decided to hang onto mine and just smarten him up a bit..................until the thought enters my head again

I was talking about this with another member on Sunday. I wasn't sure if it was just because the cars aren't selling though so it just looks like they are coming up at the same time

I currently have two S2000s but am selling one, so I'm not leaving the fold, just selling a car on for a friend who is relocating to the states.

Both of mine are up for sale as I'll sell whichever one gets the first buyer, so only one of those will be sold.

Could it be people want something with more torque?

Personally I love my S, but if I could afford it I'd have a turbo or SC kit fitted tomorrow. Just feel it needs more power.

Maybe the new tax bracket?

I think its because maybe I'm like this for the next 6 weeks

and can't drive but I'm really missing my 'S' at the moment.

I'm even treating her to a makeover and getting all the stonechips and a ding in the door repaired while she's offthe road !!

Going forward I would seriously like to look at a turbo, just need the funds first
