This was my first post:

let's wait to hear from the group on here before we all conclude their guilt. I do hope that it isn't as bad as it sounds and it isn't this group.
There is nothing which I have assumed in my post.

Secondly I am glad nothing of that story from PH was true. I am relieved and proud to be an S2ki member. Not for one moment am I willing to suggest that I was not intrigued. If it had been members of this forum who were drinking and then wheel spinning their cars, Le Mans or not, I would not and could not condone it nor could I ignore it. As my second post says:

Having said all of this I could not condone any activity if other peoples lives were at risk or anyone here was doing doughnuts while drunk! Just because another group had done it the night before or someone else had done worse things does not excuse drunk driving or endangering lives. Also because I was not there I'll take your guys word over anyone else that no one was in any danger. If this is what Le Mans is all about than I am glad I watched it on TV. I have no kids yet but if this is the accepted norm of driving within a campsite I rather stay home or stay at a hotel. However if this behaviour is accepted or expected then no one has the right to be pissed off. I was not concerned that someone was woken up in the middle of the night but only that after drinking someone was driving. Why go to a 24 race and try and sleep is beyond me but each to their own.
So to all of you who went and had a good time well done. I do not judge but I am allowed an opinion and I reserved my judgement until facts had been stated here before posting any more on the subject. I am not going to apologise for anything. If you all had done what was alleged I would be right here flaming you guys. In the end you didn't do what was alleged so there is nothing more to add to this story. It was one guy who was pissed off and he wrote what he felt. You guys have put that right so why are we arguing about it. If I had killed a person, young or old, whilst driving drunk and you came to know about it would you support me in any way? I don't think anyone would want to be associated with me. So please lets all be friends instead of pointing fingers at each other. This is not a group war but was seen by a few of us as bad publicity if it had been true which it isn't.

Rahul

I noticed that too last night Rob It seems only that one guy had any issue with anything that was alleged to have happened.

Tonight I'm going to and look at your pics on the 'nice' thread

The challenge is that the pics thread should stay ahead in number of views and posts

I think this whole thing of being proud to be an S2k member is getting a bit carried away, as MarkB said earlier - this is a site we use to exchange views, arrange meets etc, not a "Members Club". You'll be talking about codes of conduct, membership rules, and public birchings before you know it at this rate!

I was thinking about going to Le Mans next year, but I don't really fancy it now TBH

Maybe a flower show would be more up my street.

Funny, I didn't think putting up with drunken idiots driving around in their car's in the middle of the night was a prerequisite for enjoying motorsport

I'm not having a go at any of you guys for enjoying yourselves, but I can see why the actions that have been admitted here might piss some people off.

I'm slightly uneasy with the concept of being an Ambassador, should i being showing the cars abilities to their full extent as Honda designed it or pootling along trying not to produce too much pollution in France

This site is an excellent place, to exchange jokes, yakk about cars or organise a get-together.
There are a lot of like minded people here, which is probably why we socialise so well

Don't go then Neil.

You won't like it. And whatever you do, don't go into a city centre after 10 pm.

Live and let live.

Don't judge the way you are CONTINUING to do. Read your post. Look at the language.

That's what hacks people off.

You won't be judged for not attending - your preferences will be respected and that will be that.
