Default Esso SUL.......excellent fuel consumption

I stuck in Esso SUL in on Sunday and not only is it running smoother than Optimax it also seems to be using less fuel

Anyone else tried Esso SUL?

I've used it on occasion, when I have needed to fill up and didn't know where to find Optimax. I can't say that I noticed much difference between the two, either in performance terms or fuel economy.

I am beginning to wonder how consistent the engines are or maybe it's all in the mind?

...and if you regularly fill with Optimax and are Shell pluspoints member, they'll send you an Optimax card that awards double points....

Ain't that the truth!
I can't believe ANY of us can tell the difference between 2 different 'high' RON petrols from just driving the car.
On the road there's too many other factors to take into account.........................
