Chain driven, should last the life of the engine.

Some people change it + the guide rails out if they start to get noisy, along with the Timing Chain Tensioner.

I can confirm: when the timing chain breaks that's the end of the life of the engine.

an interesting one that the VX owners have to keep an eye on with their dealers- The 2.2 is a timing chain, yet a number of owners have found main dealers adding in the cost of a cambelt change to the major services!

All utterly irrelavent to this thread, of course.

A quick google and you can find a free manual for the US and Canada spec 2000-2003 S2000. This seemed to download OK for me

Quality isn't the best, but it's more than functional. There'll be a few differences for our RHD cars and also later DBW cars, but it's a useful guide if nothing else.

Anyone know of a later manual for RHD DBW cars?

I have an 09 DBW manual in my handbook.

What is it that you want to know?

A proper workshop service manual for DBW cars? I'm not after anything in particular at the moment, famous last words...

Now that my car's out of warranty I've decided to do the servicing and maintenance myself (27k service, greasing suspension bolts and doing an alignment and curing a ringing gear lever so far). I guess it's the engineer in me, I like to make sure things are properly torqued up to spec and it's useful for disassembly methods too, finding the plastic clips and removing them without snapping them etc.

Would be good to have the right manual for the car.

I did a post on this when i took my car for the service where this was on the schedule, a quick call to Honda before hand to let the garage know and the price dropped substantially.
