It's been ages since I've been in UTH so I'd forgotten about the stick there.

Oh yes - ANY DECENT BRANDED 5W 40 OR 5W 30 OR 10W 40 OR 10W 30 WILL BE FINE. SYNTHETICS ARE MAYBE A TAD BETTER THAN SEMI SYNTHETICS.
More important is change interal and change mileage. I year (max) or 9000 miles (max).

Does NO-ONE ever use the search facility on this site? Granted, it's not as efficient as some, but god knows there are enough oil threads out there. SOME of them must surely show up....?
Concensus seems to be that any of 5W-30, 5W-40, 10W-30 or 10W-40 should be OK.

But I will take note of the FAQs and give the service dealer my own oil in this case.
