I went through all this before my last service a month ago or so. Looked at boutique oils such as Amsoil and redline, sound great on paper but in the end I just went with tried and tested Castrol Edge FST Titanium 5w40.

Ultimately it's all you'll need for the road and more unless your doing time attack or crazy track driving.

Thanks,

Im tempted with trying some others. ECP have some dirt cheap deals

magnatec at 20.99 (4l)
shell helix 24.99 (5l)
petronas at (PD?) 20.99 and normal 17.99 (4l)

all have 25% extra to come off too...

what does the PD do extra, worth it or avoid it??

Is Magnatec a synthetic ? I'd stick with what didn't make your engine blow up. FWIW I use Petronas but PD sounds like one designed for VAG diesels (Pumpe-Düse)

Honda HFS 5W40 or equivalent Total Classic 5w40. My investigation found these oil specs to be identical.

Total quartz energy 9000 5w40 good also and cheap.
