Default Engine noise

Hi guys.

When turning the engine off there is a Scraping noise from the bay.

Located the noise to be at the front of the engine to where the belt is.

Video for opinions.

Any thoughts?

Makes a change from the scraping noise you usually have coming from the boot...

I thought it was to do with the air pump thing, both mine have done that and the noise was louder when I fitted an intake or removed the airbox lid, unless my phone speaker is making it sound different

I can't hear any scraping noise but your engine sounds knackered.

Sadly, I think you are right regarding the engine. It is a noisy bugger.

Got some other videos, what do you guys think?

My other car had a similar noise, it was the free wheel pulley on the alternator. Not sure if the S2000 has a free wheel if it doesn't then I'd be looking at the a/c clutch

Does not sound that bad really? pretty sure mine makes the same noise as that when you turn the engine off, but not quite as loud, and mine is as far as i am aware fine with recent valve adjustment and oil change

Going to a get professional opinion asap. Not that I don't trust Internet opinion but sound quality mic + speakers make things sound worse than they are.

If anyone lives close to me, feel free to come have a listen. I can make tea
