Had you just filled up with Petrol before it came on?

Mine comes on and goes off periodically. Honda have looked at it several times and say it's the spark plugs that are causing the issue. They've replaced them, swapped them round, re-set it. Damn thing keeps coming back. It'll go back to them again shortly when I want them to sort it properly.

To be fair, they're doing all this FOC, and it's out of warranty.

I had an odd one ages ago, the coilpack was slightly covered in oil, fine now though.

Anyways I cleaned it up and it solved the problem I think it was carbon build up on the coil pack and somehow maybe causing it to arc.

I've occasionally had one.

Generally, I pull the plug and start again.

If it recurs, do something about it: Sometimes it's just thrown a wobbler.

That's what I was thinking. Happened to me twice in the old S. Both times I had run very low on fuel, I filled up, the engine light came on, the car sounded like a bag of spanners and it was sent back to Honda.

No but i was on the rapidly disappearing side of 3/4 bars. I had to fill up to get home about 15mins from when it came on.

lamba sensor! you were right. is that the one the fits in the CAT?

Light went off friday. Still booked in at honda so i went down to see what they thought. Siad it was a 'glich' with the lamba sensor.

Well it came back on Wednesday morning and is still on now. I being dropped off at honda again this afternoon.
