Nip round here and I'd reset it for you and give you the codes for free.

Never pay a dealer to check the codes, makes me mad that

You may wish to PM Dark Blue Mark.

He is usually very good at shedding light on these kinds of things.

Hello!

Can you clarify what lights came on? Did you get the yellow one which looks like an engine (CEL) and the EPS light?

As Ian says, they shouldn't really charge you for this - my dealer did it free until I got my own monitor for

PS that air pump one must have been P0411 right?

The manual (pdf version) is good for troublshooting error codes.

I don't have one to hand here but I'm sure someone could get one to you.

Hi Mark,

Yeah the yellow engine one came on with the EPS light.

It hasnt had a new battery but when I got the car the RAC check guy mentioned the battery wasn't in mint condition and he said my need replacing? Nothing else has been serviced, next one in due next Feb.

I have recently fitted a new headunit and door speakers and an amp but this is not connected to the battery or anything at the moment.

Think they got the air pump code wrong!

Well they may be right on that code as the P1411 and P0411 are both air pump related. Given they are electrical im wondering if your pump has seized and is drawing excess current?

When you start the car from cold, does the air pump run for about 30 seconds or so, then cut out? You can hear it if you stand at the fron passenger side and listen down by the headlight. When it cuts out you will hear a wheezing noise.

Best I can suggest im afraid!

Will look up those other ones and see - but I suspect they are a result of something on the air pump.

Cool, will give that a go at home where its a bit quieter.

The EPS light also sometimes remains off when I start the car but then comes on after a while, giving me no power steering!

Just realised - doh! All the bottom 3 are individual EPS codes rather than CEL codes.

This thread is well worth a look:
