Engine light On
Hi Guys
I have been reeding through the FAQ and just want your views on what might be wrong with my car.
I had the clutch replaced today which is amazing, its like a new car, anyway, the engine light came on when leaving the garage, couldnt go back as they closed when i left.
When pulling up to a stop, the car drops its revs down to 200 and it almost stalls but recovers. I have reset the ECU by disconecting the battery for 10 mins, the light went out when i started the car but got over 5,000 rpm and it came back on. i have checked the throttle cable and thats perfect.
Any ideas?

Not an expert, but it could be some kind of sensor has been damaged / removed when you had the clutch changed.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along to assist.

Alex, it's quite common that the knock sensor gets damaged when doing a clutch change.
You are welcome to pop it round mine at the weekend for diagnosis. I have a code reader. However, Honda (or whoever fitted it) should do it free given it's likely to be their fault.

They could also have bashed the lambda sensor, or not fitted the exhaust right - both would cause stalling. As would leaving a vah hose off (just did a search and found a couple of people have had that!)
But getting the CEL code will tell you.

I'd have gone with Lambda sensor - primary only though as the secondry one wouldn't cause the car to stall.
But as Mark says, code reader will have you sorted.
Good luck with the garage - they'll deny all responsibility.
