Default Engine and gearbox rebuild?

Hi all

Wondering if anyone has had a rebuild and has had costs for the parts needed? I want to use genuine parts but from what I gather, the costs vary between dealers.

I've got:
Gasket, Cylinder Block

Honda use a colour code for the bearing sizes and dont list oversize. you will need the code from the crank, block, and conrods before you can order them which means a strip down first. any wear would mean a new crank as far as i know

i think the bores are specially treated for less friction so will need very specalist work on these as well to get the same result?

keep your thread updated with you findings as i'm interested on the options out there as well

Thanks guys

Sorry, also should have said, I have a Toda 2.2 Crank rods and pistons to be fitted. I'm undecided yet, but they are likely to be mated with Toda ITB kit if I can talk myself into it lol

Thats what i was told by honda when i went llokning for oversized bearings and a new crank for my engine...Ended up with a short block in the end...Could be cheaper...

As far as I know the gearboxs are fine.

The differentials are a bit suspect for hard launches on boosted cars

A new block is no good to me I don't think - I have new crank etc to be fitted so bearings are std size from what I gather, but I am checking with Toda to be sure as there are no markings on the crank.

Ok so the gearbox should be ok with a normal rebuild. I think I'll check the cost of cryo treatment anyway as it may be worth a go if it's not too much, bit of peace of mind considering it will be abused lol

Thanks guys
