IF we are talking oil Project Farm a HUGE test with the different type of oil. bunch of Videos
I personal use Pennzoil as they got 2ed place and it's one of the cheaper one. Spoiler Amsoil won the test; but it was very close.

i'd view it like this.. 1k miles a year i would still swap the oil but i'd be amazed if it came out dirty

Oil change schedule is "...or 12 months which ever comes first." Just change the oil.
Go thru your maintenance schedule as lots of stuff has "...or so-many-months which ever comes first" including hydraulics, engine antifreeze, and gearbox and differential oil.
