Engine fault codes - Where do I go from here?
One the way home tonight I get the CEL light on.
Check the codes and they're P1399 P0300 P0301 P0304 so all related to misfires.
So I thought I'd reset the ECU and see if they come back tomorrow.
When going through the idle learn procedure I get the CEL light on again only this time it's flashing. 12 flashes then constant for a min or two then repeat.
Engine off and check the code, another P1399.
What should I check first?
.....help....

Anyhoo, 20 mins of carb cleaner and rag and engine revving and more carb cleaner and....
I swear I have another 10bhp !!
Totally different. Lovely throttle response and definitely more power. It was like thick black goo everywhere. I must have used half a can of carb cleaner and half a kitchen roll.
So all resolved thanks to the use of the search function.
Let this be a lesson to all the newbies.
