Engine, Diff & Gearbox Oil Change...!
I have been reading quite a few posts recently about when to chage all of these oil's, and I would just like some clarity on the subject. My uderstanding at the minute is.
Engine Oil & Filter change at 6000 miles (to fully synth)
Engine Oil, Filter, Diff Oil, Gearbox Oil at 9000 miles
not sure what comes after this. Do I need to change the Diff and Gearbox Oil at 18000 miles aswell.
I haven't been on any track days yet, I don't do high milage (about 10,000 a year) and I don't drive in VTEC every where I go. (just most places ).
I know that some of this is personal preferance, but what should I be doing when?
Please help I am lost in a sea of oil..

First change isn't normally till 9k, or 12 months. I think the generally concensus is don't go to full synth till then... but there are people who've not had problems changing earlier. If you're doing 10k/year then I'd leave it till the 9k service to change to the synthetic if you're going to change to synthetic.
Diff/gearbox oil changes at higher frequency than Honda's intervals is certainly just an option. It doesn't do any harm, and might do a bit of good. I reckon it's a good idea, but it's really down to the wallet vrs conscience debate for each individual. It's not something you have to do.
