Hmmm, I'd just pop down to Honda and ask nicely. Saves all the buggering around!

Or Eurospec...

Very strange as my E11 socket definitely fits nicely on to my ECU bolts and as you have stated mine is an 05 car

As Mark has stated, it may be easier to speak nicely to your local Honda dealer or is there anyone close to where you live that has swapped their OEM ECU for an aftermarket one?

Look on the bright side - at least you didn't spend silly money on an E11 socket

Very strange. Took me about 30 seconds and it fitted nicely. Can you cake a picture of your bolts?

I have no idea why they'd be different

You can just about make out the shape of the top one in this pic:

I'm meeting up with Ron on Saturday morning so will take my ECU bolts with me to see if anything else from his garage full of tools will fit & will let you know

Absolutely 100% an E11 socket as per the pic - really struggling to understand why you are having issues

You and me both mate

I've given up now, tossed the sockets somewhere in the corner and put the plastic cover back. I'll pop down to Eurospec when I've got a free minute...

Are you trying to unbolt the ECU bracket or the ECU from the bracket - looks like to me like the bolt you are 'stuck' on is the one that holds the mounting bracket to the ECU only.

There's another 2 underneath the ecu that bolt it to the car, you can't see them in the photo but they're behind the standuppy bit of the carpet.

I know this is an old thread but I am in the same boat with an '04 and an E11 socket won't fit. Did you find a solution?
