Default ECU?

So, time for some advice here...

The S has the following mods:
K&N FIPK
ETD
full Garage R cat back with de-cat
along with the BYS seat rails, new head unit, Ricks shifter, etc

What ECU would people recommend for the engine mods, how much should I expect to pay, and who is a good tuner in the West Mids?

I would say aem end but also hondata is good but you have to change the crank sensors

Many have gone with aem on here and gone from 190 whp to 210-215 whp

Well the ETD / rails and other bits won't give you more poke

I would add a decent manifold and get an AEM.

IIWU since its an 07 and if it is an DBW get a flashpro.

Completely reversible, you dont have to piss about with harnesses/wire etc, you retain OBD2/ability to easily read codes and its more than enough for what you want on an N/A S.

Make sure you get a good tuner, you don't want the engine to blow up

You'll pay around £400ish for the flashpro, depends on how much an hour/how long the tuner takes but i reckon the whole job mapped+flashpro, around £500-600 tops.

The only unit that will work without grief on an 06+ is the Hondata Flashpro.

The immobiliser is built into the ECU.

Buy an aftermarket ECU... and your car won't start.
So.. start ripping out various bits of your car's electrics and rewiring....

Flashpro - keeps your existing ECU - a good thing.
And lets the tuner make all the asjustments you will ever need.
( with the exception right now - it does not cater for boost per gear. )

Would the GReddy e-Manage Ultimate works as well if that is the case? Or any piggy back unit for that matter since you would still be keeping the stock ECU?
