Default Early 99 AP1 HID or Halogen?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if the early 99 UK spec s2000's were fitted with HID or not for the dimmed lights as one of the bulbs need to be replaced. Dunno if it's me but the light seemed a bit yellow to be HID before it went kaput?

Kind regards,

J

Probably the bulb was giving way, this is common on HIDs when the bulbs are failing

Only thing now is have to decide whether I want to fork out £90 for a set of bulb from Halfords or not since I don't have the time to order it online due to service MOT scheduled tomorrow

That could be possible but I'm not sure, where in London are you? I can have a quick look if you're local

I understood they have to replace the HIDs with halogens, get the SVA, then put the HIDs back again. I guess it's possible if it's been done on the cheap they'd leave the halogens.

Mine definitely has HIDs, and is a May 99 JDM.

Mine's a T reg 99 uk. It has HIDs too. If you have headlamp washers, then you almost definately have HIDs with a uk car.
