Clive, that's quite a lean spot you have on VTEC change, probably not too unsafe, but it's heading towards being a little lean. I bet you can feel a nice VTEC transition though This will be due to all your breathing mods.
MB- Who is Clive, not sure which car you were refering too?

ooooh Clive is going to be the Guien Pig and get Hondata K-Pro for DBW , Mase said he could map it for the F20C even though it has been designed around the F22C engine in the AP2.

I was reading the Hondata site on Saturday evening (Me Sad!) it would be tempting not just to get a bit of perormance now but also if I ever was to go Turbo. The only problem that I see is that to make it economical and reversible in UK I would want to get hold of a spare DBW ECU and an Itegra ECu to send of to the USA.

They offer the kit which includes a new upgraded integra ECU but that's about $2000 plus shipping and taxes and you still have to send your ECU away to be flashed.

If you were to ever part out you would want a virgin ecu to put back in so you could sell on a working solution. The flash disables some important stuff on the old ecu such as Vtec.

But good news for anyone that wants a turbo in a DBW car. I'm keeping an eye on a few threads over in the US section.

I'm late comer to this post but I had really good time on Saturday.

Good to meet some fellow owners and see all their mods which looked the business. I was glad my 66k engine seems to be holding out OK in its relatively unmodded state and it was great to be able to ask Mase questions in-between the runs.

Loving the K&N GenII snarl in an enclosed space

My thanks for Phil for his original post which got us along in the first place

Honda K pro, wonder what there like on an S?

I know the CTR and ITR boys get some good gains, dont know how the S would fair probably not as much to gain since there IVTEC.

I am not sure about the fly hp anyway it is irrelevant, what the Dyno doesnt show is how much better and responsive the car is to drive now. I can only say it feels more like a race car and is far more responsive than when using the stock ECU, when in Vtec it is like driving a completely different car. As you have mentioned changing breathing mods does effect the A/F ratio, and I am sure there are many on here who have just changed the exhaust and or intake only and would be running on the lean side. The car only runs on VPower and had a full tank before the Dyno run

Yes ATW is the best figure to go with.

Mines the same much more reponsive

I used the same dyno before and after mods so i knew i got resonable gains

On a mildy modified NA car, I don't think which standalone ECU you use makes much difference. You have 2 variables to play with, AFR and ignition, and most standalone ECU's do this with ease.

It's more the benefits of things like OBD functionality, idle, cold starts etc I would look for.

Personally, if / when I get another S I will be using a Unichip for
