Driving through Spain North to South
Okay we have arranged a Ferry to take us to Bilbao, we are going on 14th May by ferry and arrive on Wednesday 16th. We have three days of scenic driving through Spain to Granada. We will be driving a Honda S2000 and tagging along behind one Buell XB12X Ulysses.
What we are after is good places to see, stay and drive. Any suggestions no mater how far fetched?

Yup we are going on 14th May by ferry and arrive on Wednesday 16th.
We have heard there are some good roads so thats the reason we are taking the S over there. The trip to the South is for some horse riding through the mountains.
I will edit the original thread

I spent three weeks driving down from Bilbao to Barcelona and back in my S2000 in 2004. I didn't use any major roads and planned my route using Michelin "orange maps"( http://www.drive-alive.co.uk/maps.php ). The key here is if a road is "bordered in green" it is scenic and I didn't find a "green bordered road" that wasn't worth doing a few extra miles for.
I stopped over in various hotels but I have to say that the Paradores (which are government run and not too expensive) are a must. Especially the Parador at Hondaribia near Biaritz (which is a converted coastal fort - it gets very booked up though so reserve a room early - http://www.paradors.net/?r=2).
Also, make sure you take in some of the mountain roads - I tried some in the Sierra Nevada and the Pyranees and these are great - you can usually see a couple of corners ahead and .... .
