Default Driveshaft spacers

I just spoke to a garage to see how much they would charge to fit, but he said that I would probably have to lower (I have coilovers) to create space for them to fit. Is this true or can I fit and then wind the coilovers down?

You can fit them anytime mate, their location doesn't alter with ride height.

You not able to install them yourself? Pretty easy.....

It's even easier if you get the half shaft spacers kit

To remove them, place a closed ring spanner onto the nut and whack the spanner with a hammer...helps if the handbrake is on too

Doesn't matter when you fit them

Why are you fitting them if you haven't lowered the car?

In a couple of months it'll be 4 years I've been driving round in a lowered S with no driveshaft spacers.

I have the half shaft spacers (T1r).

I tried the ring spanner/ hammer "method", with no luck.

I've got Meister R coilovers on so it's a bit lower than standard but I want to crank it down a bit more.

I've got it booked into honda for Sat so hopefully they won't take too long doing it.

Where bouts are you? If your near Essex I'll do the job for ya!

Otherwise, I've found a hollow bar placed on one of the grip sides of the ring spanner (with the ring end on the 14mm headed nut, obviously) gives suitable leverage.

Or try and get your car higher, but safely!
