drivers door window 'strip'
My car went in for a respray of the drivers door quite a while ago as I'd scratched it on a <insert profanity> plant pot my mum bought us when we moved house. Anyway, they did a nice job, the finish was superb.
Then the other day I noticed (on a very long drive through Wales (the country, not the large mammals)) that the black metal strip on the top of the door seemed higher than the passenger side.. When I got back to Nottm i took a look. You can lift it off. It appears to be normally held in place by a screw on the trailing edge of the door but there's not one in it. Nothing else obvious though. There are a few clip looking devices on it. I'm fvcking fuming, yet again Honda have fvcked up something on my car. The questions are..
How is this normally held in? It can't be just the screw on the trailing edge (near the lock end) surely?
What shall I hit my dealer with?
"every day i love you less and less,
your dealers need to do much-more to impress"
i've decided as of now, this is my last Honda, I don't think either of the dealers I've used have ever done anything correct, haven't checked the services but perhaps I ought to. RUBBISH

Pages 20.14 to 20.16 in the w/ shop manual are your friend. There are no screws on the weather strip just clips. However the front (mirror end) is captive under that black tiangular piece. That is actually part of the window giude and needs to be removed to replace the clips on the weather strip AFAIK.

it's clip A on page 20-17 that's missing.. the metal bit of the strip folds over and clips in.. except there is no clip.. it's clipped back in the rest of the way though.. hmm
