My wife's Celica used to feel quick and sporty. It was no faster than my Astra Sri, but the low profile tyres gave a hard ride and it has a revy engine and a quick gear shift. At least, it did. It feels like a bus now. Giant steering wheel, slow lifeless steering, and an engine that stops 2250 revs too soon.

Hi All
I bought a 530d when my S died and even though it is now back, I cant let it go its just too good at munching miles, and the S is just too good at corners so Im keeping them both

During week Co car Landrover Freelander TD4, Great for motorway miles as height allows you to see probs well ahead........a real boon on M25.
Drive the S at all other times if i can, like to feel in control, always takes a few miles to adjust to cornering on the Freelander after a weekend .

I remember taking the buyer of my MX-5 out for a drive, after I'd got used to AP1. It was so soft and easy to throw around, it felt loose and cumbersome.
Like a Quentin Tarantino film, he probably only agreed to buy it so he might get out alive!

Picked up my S last Wednesday and dropped off a chipped Mk IV Golf GTi Turbo and never once looked back or gave it a 2nd thought as I trundled out the garage on my new steed.
I am also sad to say I have not even thought about it until day when i read this page. God I love the S2000
