No need. I always find a space similar to the one you used in the picture. Just point the passenger door mirror as far down at is will go and you will have a great view of the back wheel and kerb as you reverse in. It's what elctric mirrors are made for!!

I figure if you park next to the kerb you are inviting some child-bearing 4x4 to park netx to you as there's more space.....

BTW - "Worcester" is an equally bad word for chaving door denters.
Yep try Tescos in Warndon Villages!!

I always go shopping late (as its 24hrs) and park in the parent and children spaces with all the extra room.

That way when some earth mother complains your parked in a parents and kids space with no kids and only 2 seats you can reply with "Its half past frekin 11 at night love, any kiddy winkles should be in bed now resting their brains for a demanding day at their centres of learning tomorrow."

It works everytime and you only have to look down the row to know that your not the only one!! The other night there was a Saab Convertible, Impretza, Meganne Covertible, Toyota Supra and 911 all parked in the kids spaces!!

Real family cars!.............

They'll park there anyway, because these people are c*nts. Just park as close to the kerb as you can to minimise the damage.

I can see where you are coming from but problem with doing that is someone is likely to vandalise your car as retribution

Find a space between two other expensive cars, hopefully when they open their door they will respect your vehicle and also they wont want to damage theirs.

This is a great tactic, and I often circle a busy car-park looking for that "perfect" space. Unfortunately you're bound to come back to your car <10 mins later to find that a 4x4 has squeezed into the space vacated by one of the expensive cars..
