They're all franchised, some are lousy, some are good, always get a reccomendation in your local area for who the local 'Smartrepair' companies / agents are.
Agreed, I've used my local Chips Away (gulidford) a few times and have always been happy with the results. Admitedly the damage was smaller than this.
As with many of these services, its all down to the skill and experience of the individual so dont rule them out.

My advice is however to get some references first.

Just one query - what did you scrape? Just thinking if it was another car isn't it an insurance job for theirs and so you will get yours fixed too?

It was another car parked about 2 inches from me in a car park.Driver wasn't around.Didn't think that much of a scrape at the time.Could have left details on windscreen but...hindsight is a fine thing.Anyway, it's the repair that matters now.

So you do know you hit it but didn't get out and check?

Please try and find the car you hit.

I've been hit and run twice

It's horrendous knowing that someone knows they have hit you, but has not bothered to let you know...whatever the reasoning behind it.

You have caused damage to someone else's vehicle and should make every effort to sort their car out as well as yours...whatever the cost. They may be in a worse financial situation than you are.

Check to see if there is any CCTV in the area.

If they find you, and have found out that you have failed to report an incident, you can be prosecuted.

That is more than superficial
Look how the headlamp has dropped and the bumper & wing no longer align with the bonnet and each other.

The wing support bracket is quite easy to straighten, however. I used a big lever once.

The bracket ought to be replaced, to get it true. Whether the headlight's plastic brackets have survived...

The paint can be touched in, but this is looking like an insurance job.
