Default Does insurance drop when turning 25?

seems to be a myth what with insurance premiums being hiked at any given chance. I'm hoping that next January things will be slightly more affordable. People used to say it would reduce when you reach 21, then 25, then 30. Or is this just a sucker punch to keep you with the same insurer?

25 is important but whether it's attaining 25 or reaching 26 I don't know. Speak to your broker.

It's difficult to say - as I've got older my cars have got faster and more expensive so insurance has gone up.

I don't recall any big drop at 25

I thought they stoped that 25 thing?

I tend to be paying around the same for insurance year after year because I keep getting more expensive higher powered cars as I get older.

I think it goes up at a slower rate the older you get - I imagine different companies treat age differently, but as Neil said, you end up getting more tasty motors the older you get so the effect isn't obvious.

I doubt I would pay much insurance now, for the Morris Minor I had when I was 19

I only noticed a difference upwards at 25, but I do recall having a bad accident that year, which was of course entirely my fault
