Does anyone know where/how to get hold of a Lambda Fooler
As per subject, I am looking for info on the sensors that replace the Lambda probe and fool the ECU into thinking a Cat is fitted and working. Dastech Unichip claim they are bringing one out soon but they also told me they had a unichip for an S2000. Two weeks after I booked in for fitting both parts Millway of Andover phoned me and neither was available! Like everything I seem to want, it is in development.
Anyway, if you have any info on these beasties please let me know.

I thought the Lambda was fitted up-flow of the cat anyway (so it shouldn't matter to the engine management system whether you have a cat fitted or not - only the emissions from your tail pipes should be affected by not running a cat)?
Having read this thread I stand corrected (it seems there are two exhaust sensors fitted)!

Cheers for the replies...
To be honest, I am assuming it is a Lambda/O2 sensor in the Cat, but from talking to tuners I get the impression the manifold sensor affects the ECU tuning of the engine and the output from the Cat sensor is compared against that of the manifold to assess whether the Cat is working (same output means cat is not doing anything).
I could be completely wrong here as some cars have heat sensors apparently.
AE, if I meet you on the road I will lead you a merry dance, but you wont keep up!!!!

"mixture guage" that tapped into the 02 sensor output and there were a number of these on the internet available for sale.
I will search for this mixture gauge and see what comes up. The biggest problem I have is the rather unofficial term "Lambda fooler" which the Dastech chap used but it doesn't even bring their own website up!
I believe the fooler is not even a sensor it just shows the correct electrical resistance for the application.
Being an electronics engineer (not automotive, and no longer hands on as such) I have considered experimenting but laziness and nearly 30k worth of car (to me anyway) has put me off and I would rather buy something tailor made if possible.
